Default need advice for decent scope mounts and scope for 460S&W XVR 8 1/2inch

Hi there everyone
I have a 460 S&W revolver in standard 8 1/2 inch barrel , Im starting in metallic sillouhette comps out to 100 & 200 metres.
Im just after some way to either have QD mounts so I can use standard sights at other times or do I have to remove the rear? sight permanently.
I was unsure of optics and mounts as Ive never used them on my own Handguns. A mate of mine had a 2-7 vari on his freedom arms 45-70 seemed ok.Any suggestions?
Leupold scopes? successes with what your using? Red dot scopes?? anyone
