Default Model 625-5 Classic - what do these markings mean?

I recently purchased a model 625-5 Classic (.45 Colt). The serial number is in the usual place at the bottom of the grip frame . However, there are an additional series of numbers, different than the serial number, on each side of the grip frame at the bottom (these are on the sides at the bottom). The numbers on each side are different than each other and are different than the serial number. There is also a large "X" mark at the bottom and the letter "S" is also there. I assume "S" is for stainless. However, I have never seen numbers on the sides of the grip frame at the bottom before, nor I have seen the "X" mark. Does anyone have any idea what these are? I can post pics later this weekend but my daughter borrowed my camera tonight. Thanks for any info.

Jim

Assemblers and inspectors marks. They mean nothing once the gun leaves the factory.
