Help with 625 5" holster suggestions for carry?
I am currently searching for a holster for this revolver and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on who makes a quality holster for everyday wear for defense, an outside the pants holster. Preferably not a high-ride, but a mid-ride would be nice. I am not to worried about it "being noticed" I live in an open carry state and always carry full sized handguns, usually a 681. Also wondering what anyone else carries theres in? Thank you for your help.

I just ordered a Sourdough Pancake from Simply Rugged Holsters for a 57 4".
My understanding is that these are durable daily wear holsters, as the name would suggest. Take a look at their webpage for pics.
Another holster that really looked good to me was the Lobo Gun Leather enhanced pancake....really sweet looking holster...nice detail and selection of colors.

Holster for carry
I searched and finally found a really nice original Jackass holster. It is shown to fit my 1961 S-Prefix 6 1/2" M-29. Galco would be my other choice. This phoenix is shown in a 4", but is (I think) made in 5". Both these are strong-side(R) or cross-draw. Bianchi also makes a 111 or a cyclone in cordura that is worn the same as the previous two holsters.

From what customers tell me regularly, few companies actually make holsters for 5" revolvers. It seems that the higher volume manufacturers concentrate their offerings on the most commonly available pieces (2", 4", 6", etc).
Come on over to the website. Maybe I can provide something for your needs.

I purchased a Kramer holster several years ago and never used it. The holster was designed for the 5 inch N-frame with full underlug and was purchased from Dillon ca 5-7 years ago. If you are interested send me a note to [email protected].

I ordered a Enhanced Pancake from Ray (LoboGunLeather) for my PC 5" 625 and it works perfect. Nice and close to the body and distributes the weight perfectly. I guarantee you won't be sorry. I wanted a custom holster for a custom revolver and got it.
