Can some one help me with a grip problem? I have a 686-6" that I recently bought and it had a set of pachymere rubbers on it. I picked up a set of factory target grips here in the wanted section but the seller could not find the screw that is needed to hold them together. The S&W web site has listings for 2 different lengths. Which screw is correct? Any one have a spare that will work? Thanks in advance,

that's going to be a tough one as I have found not only 2 lengths but also 2 different threads (fine/coarse). I have a 66-3 and ordered S&W rosewood grips which look and feel great. The screw was too long that they sent, 1". I ordered all of the lengths from Midway and Brownells, not only were they all too long but they also had the wrong threads. I finally ordered the screw checker / length jig from Brownells and used my grinder to custom fit one. Sometimes folks have special ones on GB.
