Recently I've been researching various J frame models.

Wondering if I have this right:

All Steel models (21 and up oz.) Models 36, 640

Airweights: Alluminum frame, steel cylinder and barrel (15 to 18+ oz.) Model 37, 642, 442,

Scandium Models (M&P) : Scandium frame & barrel. Steel barrel liner and cylinder (13 to 15+ oz.) Model 340, 360

Air Lite PD Scandium models. Scandium frame and barrel. Titanium Alloy Cylinder & steel barrel liner. (9 to 13+ oz.) Model 340pd, 360pd

Obviously grip weight, caliber, barrel length, underlug length, and exposed or concealed hammer can make a difference.

Looks like you've got it nailed down. The 342 had a titanium alloy frame and was I think less than 10oz but it's discontinued.

Thanks. I updated the weight. IIRC, wasn't there a .22 LR that weight just over 9 oz. ?

As I've stated before, I carry a model 60 every day and have become accustomed to it's "heft". I carry in a pocket or IWB.

My EDC is either a M&P340 or a 340PD in a pocket-holster. Being retired, that is what I choose to carry daily. The light-weight make these "shoot a little, carry alot" category handguns.

When I want to put lotsa rounds down-range, I bring out a Model 65 K-frame or a Model 686 L-frame and fire away.....
