Surefire X300 light and Crimson Trace compatible?

I'm considering a Performance Center SW M&P R8 .357 5"barrel revolver with a Surefire X300 light mounted underneath the front barrel.

My question is: will the X300 housing block the laser beam?
 
I have the x300 on the TRR8, where the rail is slightly lower than your R8, and although I do not have the CT grip it seems that the light will interfere with the laser. From pictures I've seen it looks like you might be able to get away with it on your R8. I just posted a similar question in a different thread.
