Default Changing integral front sights

I have an older model 686 that has the integral front sight. What would be the best way to change the front sight to the interchangeable front sight used on the Pro guns and PC revolvers? Would S&W do this? How much? What about any other gunsmith out there able to do this? I would like to change over to a fiber optic front sight. Thanks for the help.

You could have a gunsmith mill the barrel to accept the Weigand Combat front sight body with interchangable sight inserts.
