Question S&W 500 Issue

I just bought a new 500 magnum, what a thrill, the issue is when I open the cylinder to eject the cartridges the cylinder moves forward a very slight amount, about .05", when this happens, you cannot close the cylinder without applying pressure to the pivot point to the rear to close the cylinder, if you don't do this the pivot arm will strike the frame and prevent closure.

Question is this normal? I have a 629 without these issues, how can it be corrected? Is it defective?

Push the cylinder and yoke all the way on, then tighten the forward bottom screw. That "yoke" screw is spring tensioned and most likely loose.
