29-3 Grip recommendation
Just went to the range and shot a box through my, new to me, 29-3. I'm a lefty and have the original wood grips. My problem is when I fire the revolver the trigger guard is forced into the knuckle of my finger on the grip. Gets very painfull half way through a box of ammo. Would a hogue rubber or packmyer help this out? Any recommendations would be appreciated.

No help for Grips?
Really, no one willing to help a lefty out.
I've done a search on the subject but most problems seem to be for righthanders thumb coming in contact with the cylinder release.
My problem is my knuckle contacts the trigger guard and was wondering if the hogue or packmyer would help this problem before I purchased one. My rig is a 29-3.
If anyone has experience with one or both of these options I'd really appreciate your opinion.

First, I would suggest that you look at the Hogue grips. They work well for me. Another suggestion is Pachmayr. Again, they work well for me. If you want wood grips, you might want to contact a custom stock maker and describe to them what you want. Doubtless you are not the first left-handed person to need grips for a hard kicking revolver. HTH. Sincerely. Bruce.

Second on the rubber Hogues. I like the look of wood better, but the rubber is more comfortable, especially for anything with some recoil. Not a lefty, but shoot lefty occasionally just because.

Thanks for you info. I'll go down to the local GS and handle one with the hogues and see if I like them.

I have a Pach Presentation grip in square butt for a 29 and it will still let you knuckle knock the trigger guard some. The Hogue fills in that area much more if it's the same as the one on my 629. The Hogue X frame grip might be a good choice as it will soften recoil, add grip size, and cover that guard pretty well.
