The "lock" is bad enough, but I find everything being round butt even more distasteful than the lock!

It works for me........I could care less about the lock, but I am a huge fan of the K and L frame RB grip frame. The 4" HB RB Model 10 is one of my favorite guns of all time. It just works for me with standard RB Magnas, it may not be everyone's favorite but it's mine.

The round butt worked on the K-frame since 1899, and S&W just went back to the original grip. I think it's pretty neat, after 102 years of the M&P-Model 10, the RB has been in constant production.

mine that I bought in February of last year is a round butt. I have to admit that with a 6" barrel I prefer a square butt, but with a set of Ahrend's Retro Combat's it's not bad it a RB.

With the proper grips a round butt can be converted to a square butt, but a square butt is a square butt regardless of the grips.

For that reason, I have come to prefer the round butt design.

I don't care for conversion grips at all. S&W is saying to their customers that they don't care what the customer wants, they will buy it the company way, round butt & lock, or not at all. I choose not at all. I also sold the 4,000 shares of S&W stock that I owned because of the company's attitude. All they would have to do to sell many more handguns, is manufacture what their customer base wants to buy. Rant off.
