Default How's a 64-4 different than a -2 and is there an updated model change (- dash) table?

Can someone please tell me what the difference is between the 64-4 and 64-2, and also if there's an up to date model change table that's more complete than the one found at handloads.com?

Thanks in advance and a good weekend to all!

The 64-2s are all 2" barreled guns. The -4 had several internal part changes. The corresponding 4" guns are the 64-3 and -5. The -6 introduced the different frame and MIM parts, the -7 the IL, and the -8 the two-piece barrel. Hope this is helpful.

murphydog,
I appreciate the info!

So, I have a 64-3 (4"HB), a 66-2 (4"), and a 67-1. If I were to chose between a 64-2 or a 64-4 (both 2") based on parts interchangeability or availability, would it be fair to say I'm better off with the 64-2?

Thanks again!

Yes, there are many more -2s than -4s, so parts would be easier to find. Also, the pinned barrel -2 would be worth more (but not all -2s had pinned barrels).
