Default Transition thread from P & R

Here's one we haven't had, how about a thread of revolvers from the early 1980's where Smith was going from pinned and recessed to none P & R. These guns would be either pinned or recessed, but not both.
I'll start it off with my only example, my Model 57 that is not pinned but is recessed.

This ought to be an interesting thread as I don't own any transition revolvers because I like mine to have both P&R features. If I did buy one I would prefer one like yours with the recessed chambers and sans the pinned barrel.

Then there are those guns that you can't get P&R like the 3" in the middle. I unknowingly spent quite some time looking for a P&R 3" until I was told they didn't exist in M66. Now if course someone of greater knowledge will probably correct me and tell me that they are out there and I didn't look hard enough or that there are transition models that exist.

Default Two months...

...ago, I bought a Lew Horton Model 24-3. Although built in 1984, well past the "cut-off" date, it has a pinned barrel. Go figure.

A Mod 60 no-dash with no pin. I ordered this gun new and received it in June of 1982. It was a surprise as it was the first non pinned barrel I had acquired. As I recall, there was no prior notice the P&R features were being eliminated on all S&W handguns.
