Default New to me model 632 .327 Federal

Got the new model 632 powerport yesterday. A local dealer put one under my nose for $599 and I was helpless to resist as I have a soft spot for .32s. It is a great addition to my pair of model 31-1s in .32 S&W long. The .327 is a great little round and I already had the 8 shot Blackhawk in that caliber. I shot up a box of the reduced recoil 85 gr JHP to make brass for reloading. Recoil was almost non-existant, but the blast was off the scale! I was looking on the auction sites to see how I did price-wise, and was stunned to see one listed on Gunbroker for $1295! The weird part is mine is blackened, but the one on Gunbroker was regular stainless. Did they make the 3" powerport in two finishes? I thought only the 2" fixed sight one was regular stainless. The S&W website only shows the blackened version I have. Anyway, here's some pics:

I have to shamelessly admit here on the forum, but I do have a Taurus in 327. It digest all forms of 32 ammo and I love it. I wonder how Taurus beat S&W to the punch on the IL? Yes....I do own Smiths in both the pre IL and the current IL version and the IL versions don't give me the willies like that hole dose some folks. You do have to tip your hat to Taurus on the IL though.

Bob - you are correct! The bright stainless was a Sports South dealer exclusive.

Very nice. Good luck and good shooting. I handled one like yours at my local gun shop. Light and compact. If S&W would offer the 632 but in standard 3" (or even better a 4" bbl.) without the porting, I would buy one in a NY minute. Blued or stainless, it wouldnt matter.

Now if they would just offer a 5" K Frame (without the full lug) in .327. (And no IL)
