Default Great Customer Service - Hogue - Big Butt Grips

I recently got given a secondhand Hogue Timber Big Butt grips. I wanted to put these on my 686-1 that I had recently purchased. However, the grips were without the right length screw and clip mounting body.

I emailed Hogue USA who stated that they had the correct hardware and would send it to me in Australia free of charge! I never expected free of charge and was quite prepared to pay for the cost of the replacement hardware and shipping. The package arrived today via First Class International Post. Well done Hogue.

Knowing Pat Hogue personally, I wouldn’t expect any less from him and his company. First class all the way!!

Here’re just two samples:

I like hogue grips and have used them on a lot of my guns. They don't necessarily make the guns prettier but they sure work well. LOL.

Hogue has always been generous with replacement parts for folks.

Hogue is a great company run by a First Class family

I met Guy Hogue at one of the SHOT shows in Dallas, 20 or more years ago. The company had on display the very first set of grips for a third Generation Smith and Wesson

It was a set of smooth Brazilian Rosewood grips mounted on a 4506. I was really enamored with the grips and explained I had a 1006 waiting for just such an item. Guy told me to come back as the show was closing on Sunday.

When I returned he took the 4506 out of the showcase, removed the grips and gave them to me.

I went home and talked about Hogue products for the next 20 years

I think that Hogue grips do accentuate the firearms appearance while making them more shooter friendly .

I have had only one occasion to contact Hogue customer service over many years of using their product. They sent me a couple of small parts immediately at no cost. Good people to do business with.

I just purchased my first Hogue grips for my Sig P239, EDC. I have wanted new grips for a long time but just got them a few weeks ago. They look & fit great and feel great. I like the wood look in a lot of things. My next purchase will be Hogue wood grips for my S&W 686 SSR.

I have also had great customer service with them when I needed small parts ( screw and stirrup ) for a wood set that I have. They sent them free of charge. The first set I bought I actually got directly from them, and when I ordered over the phone I asked if I could request a darker or lighter wood. They said they would do what they could, and I figured that meant I would get whatever they had. When they came they were exactly what I was looking for and I have been a fan of their products ever since. I also have one of their knives and it is very solid, well built, and holds an edge. I would recommend them to anyone.
