Replacement Grips for BG38?
Just got my Bodyguard 38 and it is one nice little gun. I bought a set of Hogue Bantam grips for it but couldn't figure out how to remove the stock grips. Called Hogue since they are right here in town and they said that they don't make a grip to fit the Bodyguard. Has anyone changed out their grips on a Bodyguard? Who make a finger grip aftermarket grip for them?
Thanks!

To my knowledge, there are no aftermarket grips available for the BG38 at this time.

I emailed Hogue and they said they may be working on a design this spring.

Hogue is the only company that has even talked about it but I don't think they have released any. There's not much enthusiasm for the BG38 so I don't know if they ever will or not.

Thanks Photoman44. As a southpaw I like a lot of the features but I can understand it's not for everyone.

Uncle Mikes makes a nice bootgrip for the bodyguard and I would sospect that any J frame grip would also fit. Me-I use the factory magnas with a tyler on my bodyguard.

I had been under the impression that the new Bodyguard BG38 about which the original poster is asking does not take a J frame grip such as on the "real" Bodyguard, the Model 49 or 38.

BG38 = new plastic fantastic thing that isn't selling well like the old ones did.
J frame grips do not fit the BG38.

I just received my BG38 Hogue grips yesterday, put 'em on today, and they are a big improvement over stock. I haven't fired it with the new grips yet, but I'm looking forward to it.

I'm lazy!! There's a nice pic of the new Hogue grips on a BG38 in a thread by "Arzamus". PM me if you can't find it.

I purchased a new grip for my BG38 (PN 60020), but it doesn't seem to fit correctly. I have large gaps at the top of the grip and behind the trigger guard. The retaining pin seems to line up correctly and I have removed the 4 little tabs per the instructions. Just can't seem to figure out how to get it to fit correctly.
I emailed Hogue about it. Hoping I am just missing something.

Hey Duncan - I had to mess with my Hogue grip, including a couple of tries at "rolling" the grip up onto the frame to make it snug up to the backbone of the pistol frame and the trigger guard. The Hogue instructions mention the "roll" and it did the trick for me. Good luck with it.
