What's your first Firearm of 2012?
Do you know what your first firearm will be of the new year?? Post em when you get em!
I found a sweet S&W M15-6 K frame with a 6" barrel target trigger, target hammer and target stocks.. The bluing is 98% really clean piece, I had to save it from the LGS.... I pick it up in a week..

Could be a 60 3" or a 43c. Not sure yet which will be first, but will probably get both of them in 2012.

My 28-2, should be at my F.F.L. on Wednesday. I won it on GB, Christmas Day. Mail has been slower than usual so havent got it yet.
It is a clean looking 6 incher! Will know more when it arrives. Bob
My 28-2 arrived on 1-4. Was not a dash 2...... ended up being a no dash from 1960! Imagine that! Super clean as described by the seller. Shot it Sunday, and everything functioned well. Have changed the grips twice. Had Goodyears, to magnas, to diamond targets, which were my answer to comfortability, and function. Bob

A 6" 686 with factory black finish, with original box, papers and tools. I will be fitting it with a pair of Nill Classic grips. It will make a nice addition to my 5" 629 Classic and my 5" 625 Classic in 45 Colt, both also fitted with Nill Classics.

I put a 686-6 4" on hold last Friday and hope to close the deal Monday or Tuesday. First big revolver and I am very happy, the gun fits my hand nicely and I hope it feels as good with full house rounds.

I want another Ruger P series brick with a trigger ... gave my P95 to my son's girlfriend last week for Christmas because he's going to Ft. Huachuca for 5 or 6 months soon and taking his M9 with him. I expect that I'll buy the first P89 that I run across locally for $200. Great truck gun that'll shoot +P ammo all day long.

I've got a 3rd Gen Colt SAA 7 1/2" barrel on the way. Will be my first single action revolver...I'm more of a double action guy. My next S&W revolver will be a no lock 625 Mtn Gun if I can ever find one (I'd take either 45 acp or 45LC). Also always on the lookout for that elusive 3" Model 19, but I'm not holding my breath on that one!

I will be looking for another gun chambered in 44 special. I may break down and buy a 9MM now that the ammo has been developed to be effective as personal defense. Maybe a 9MM on a 1911 platform.

Now that's just mean!
Beautiful gun...nice find.
Just 1.5 hours ago I picked up 2 Ruger Super Blackhawks in .44 Magnum, for $450 for the pair. Figured I couldn't pass that up.
Happy New Year!

On Dec 31 I walked into the LGS and saw a 64 no dash. I took it home. He said it came in the day before. I also ordered a Kahr P9. Happy New Year!

No idea at the moment. Probably something I see that I like! That leaves things wide open. Most of my purchases have been opportunistic. Just have to wait and see what pops up in 2012.

Well it's close to this year, picked this up from my FFL Saturday afternoon. Purchased off GB, a grade II VIS. Should be a 1941 production weapon. All six numbered parts match, some holster wear but overall very good condtion.

Charter Bulldog 2.5" 44 special in stainless. I can't afford a 696.
Besides, the Charter is the smallest, lightest 44 around besides the derringers.
It's waiting for me at the transfer dealer.
Already have the Crimson Trace grips (DANG, is that laser bright!) and Mernickle holsters are on the way.
Didn't take me long to discover a 3" N frame is not the perfect carry weapon.
I am a stubborn fan of the 44 so I am going to try the Bulldog.

A Stevens Favorite in .22 with a Ceedmore tang sight for my Granddaughter and I. Couple coats of poly and some wax on the wood combined with the sight made it look like a mini Sharps .
Actually bought it in Oct. and put a few rounds through it before and after the work. Love them .22's and my G-Daughter loves this one. Very safe rifle and extremely accurate!

Model 36 no dash, should arrive at my LGS transfer dealer on Thursday.
I currently own a Model 60 in .357 Mag. I feel like its more of a Chief's Special on steriods. I've always yearned for a good ole' Model 36. There is only one downside, it had Pach's on it in the photos on GB. I contacted the seller and it is a square butt. I can deal with that for now. I'm a pretty good sized guy so I don't think the square vs round butt is really going to be that much of an issue.

I'm looking at a Walther PK 380 Wednesday afternoon. That's a probable cause it's priced right. Thanks to Allen-frame's posted pics of his big bores on another thread I'm looking for a 625 with a 3 or 4 inch barrel. I've got one located and am in discussions with a forum member now on giving it a new home. Just when l thought it was safe to take a breather, too!

Got a 65-2 4" on Gunbroker for just over $300...not a police trade-in...way cleaner than I had hoped...pairs nicely with my 64-3 3" barrel.

Not a whole lot that I REALLY want that I don't already have,so I will be looking for pretty much any high condition,pre-model number,adjustable-sight,blued revolver I run into that isn't grossly over-priced. Also kinda lookin' for a 629. Especially at a price like the one kritter got!
f.t.
p.s. I can't rule out another early Colt 1911 A1 either,I suppose.

I haven't bought it yet, but my first firearm purchase of 2012 will be a Ruger 77/357 bolt-action rifle. I won't scope it, but will add a good peep sight.

I gave in to the siren song of another 3rd Gen Auto. At a local gunshow on Sunday I found a 3913NL with gray grips. It had to go home with me.
