.357 CTG.Highway Patrolman
Does anyone have any knowledge of this gun.
Saw one the other day and couldnt find a modle # other than
.357 CTG
Highway Patrolman stamped on barrel.

It's a model 28 or a pre-model 28 if made from 1954 when first produced until 1957 when they started to model mark.
Open the cylinder and look at the frame under the barrel with the yoke swung out, there should be a model number there.

Yep, Model 28, basically the same as the M27 without the high polish finish. They're on the N-Frame and can handle all the 357Mag you'd ever care to shoot. Not that easy to use for a CCW gun but for Home Defense or hunting/plinking they're awesome.

And with wad cutters and mild 158 gr swc there's almost no recoil.
