66-5 Approximate worth?
My son's looking to get rid of his model 66-5 4 inch, red ramp/white outline, standard trigger and hammer, no lock. Probably 90-95%. Original rubber grips, mike's I believe.
Any one got a ball park starting/asking price? No box.

I'd start at 550, you can always go down quickly if need be, you can't go up.

You guys are nuts, for a 4 inch 66-5 which no one wants a dash 5 or 6 now days, I would say 375.00 would be the actual selling price. Hell I just picked up a LNIB 66 2.5 " dash 1 for 525.00

$550 is way too much, even on gunbroker.

Actually selling price, $425-$440. So I would start at $490. I can get them 90% or better for $380.

It depends on where you are. There are a bunch of Aussie trade in 66-7 4" guns with deactivated locks out there right now for $400 or so.
There is a lot of artificial inflation going on just because snub K-frame .357's are hot right now, the 4" and 6" guns are a little less hot but still going for a lot more than they used to.
It's not even the fact that people want to shoot .357's through them, just that if something isn't made any more, people tend to want it.

I think the $450.00 mark is reasonable. There was a 66-3 local with a 2-1/2" barrel that could be had for $425.00
