Default Picked me up a 4" 617 no dash today.

This 617 is beautiful and still has the original combats on it. Paid $650 from a local for it and am happy with the price. This one will get a lot more range time than most of my revolvers.

NICE score. They are wonderful field and general field carry twenty two's. And as per normal...ACCURATE. What I paid for mine maybe five or six years back.

But a no dash withOUT the underlug. My score of the decade for a MT Gun show. Rare as well as reasonably priced...a combo seldom seen out here.

Congratulations.. very nice looking revolver.
I don't own nor have I ever fired a Model 17 or variant. I am glad because the way everyone raves about them and the high cost of them makes me think I am better off not knowing what I am missing That would be another model to chase..I can't keep up now!

There are very few new model revolvers that float my boat but the 586, 686, and Model 617 are the only ones if they are early examples of those revolvers.

My no dash 617 4 inch and 6 inch would be two of the last revolvers I ever sold.

Welcome to the "club"!

When I paid $625 for this one in 2009 I thought I paid a wee bit too much. Silly me. This revolver comes to the range with me on just about every trip, no matter what else I'm bringing.

Don't own the no dash version, but have the 4" 10 shot that is a sweet shooter. Picked up a Speed Beez speedloader: Speed Beez 617 Speedloaders and it's fun to pepper the paper.
