Default S&W 44 Magnum Night Guard

I contacted a distributor about buying one of these today. They said that they had been discontinued. Did Smith drop all the Night Guards or only this one?

They have been dropping a few of them.
They still make the 325, 386, and 327 I believe.

In my opinion they made a very big mistake dropping the 315 Night Guard which was a 38 Special +P, 2.5" Barrel, K Frame Round Butt, 6 shot revolver with XS 24/7 Tritium Front Sight and Cylinder & Slide Extreme Duty Rear sight. The 315 Night Guard was quite possibly the best Lady's carry revolver ever made.

Another mistake was dropping the 310 Night Guard. With all the 40 S&W ammo and brass available this should be one of the best carry revolvers ever. I own both a 610 as well as the 310 Night Guard. I am a 10mm/40 S&W Revolver Fan.

I believe one thing hurting the Night Guard Series is the Retail cost of them. A retail price of around $800 would have worked out much better than $1,100 in my opinion. I bought my 310 Night Guard for around $750. I would have passed on it at anything over $800.

Bob
