Default S&W 63 Ordered Today!

Hey folks. Getting back into the S&W revolver family. Placed an order for the 63 .22lr with 3" barrel. The wife really wanted a solid .22 and I think the 63 will fit the bill. Has a larger grip than a standard J frame as she wanted a place for her pinky. Fondled one at a LGS and it felt great. It'll take a few days to get here but no tax and free shipping can't be beat!

Sounds like a great acquisition. I have a 3” and a 5” and like both.

I’m sure my hands are much bigger than those of your wife, but I find the factory grips too small. I find the Pachmayr J frame Gripper grips work best for me.

I have 63 3"also, I purchased it to act as a TRAINER, and partner to my Model 60 PRO 3 inch.
I purchased another set of the beautiful wood PRO grips from S&W for it. The two revolvers
weigh within 2 ounces of each other and the grips are great for feel.

For 22 LR REVOLVER SNAP CAPS to practice DRY FIRING the 63, you can use #4 X 7/8" LONG PLASTIC DRYWALL ANCHORS,

the things you push into a hole in the drywall and place a screw into to hang pictures or something.

Mine are Yellow in color, they also spin in the chambers when dry firing.

***The drywall anchors are CHEAPER than regular 22LR SNAP CAPS and work better too.***
