Default Finally Got One of My Grail Guns (and Its Not a Reg Mag)

Ever since a forum member whose initials are BG offered me me his'37 Brazilian for a price I couldn't pass up at a Dallas gun show a few months back, I got bitten by the 45acp revolver bug, BIG time. I soon added a 1917 and a 25-2... but at the top of my list was a Mountain Gun. I had about given up when this one popped up on GB with a rather outrageous B-I-N price. Called my son who has MGs in 357 and 41 mag. He politely informed me I was losing my mind. I guess I already knew that. So, I hit the button and bit the bullet so to speak. Came with the correct box and all papers. Little sign of use. Sometimes your haeart insists on things your head rejects.

Nice gun, and like your avatar too . You'll forget about the few extra $ soon if you haven't already...

Very nice....The Mountain Gun series is an often overlooked carry gun. The 625 MG is one that is not seen very often.

The tapered barrel, round butt, and black powder chamfer all add up to one sweet shooting gun that can be easily carried all day.

Like you, I didn't know I was a .45 ACP fan until I got a Brazilian a while back. Then I had to get some original 1917s (both S&W and Colt), and then last year a three-inch 625-3 (Model of 1989) that may be one of my favorite guns these days. There is just something about N-frames with those six big holes in the wheel.

Excellent score. Congratulations. Next year the price you paid will seem cheap.
