What does the -5 mean on my 686?

I bought SW 686 357 4 in. What does the
-5 mean? It may be -6 I need a loop to

I means a 5th engineering or design change from the Model 686's original version.
 
It may not be a -5, yet I can only tell if you show the other side of the revolver. The 686-5 was a no-lock frame mounted firing pin version with a pinned front sight. The 686-6 has the internal lock. The frame profile that I can see in the picture you provided makes it appear to be a 686-6.

It has a lock. I'm always seeing no lock or lock. If you
Don't lock it, then it's just like a no lock.
I read, some say they only like no lock.
I don't get it ?
