I'm looking for opinions on the best way to conceal carry a Model 65 with 3" barrel. The Uncle Mike super slide belt holster I have is OK in the field but I need a better & more comfortable way to conceal in public. I don't know if this gun conceals better under the arm, on the leg, etc. thanks,

I carry my K-Frames in an OWB holster in cooler weather covered by a sweatshirt. Works well, even with the 4" ones.
In the Summer it would probably be better with an IWB holster and a loose shirt to cover it. It's really not that difficult if you have quality holsters.

Look into a quality shoulder holster, the comfort and concelabilty in most cases is outstanding. With my 65 year old body IWB holster can only be used with small semi automatic pistols.
Just a thought.

don't care for the IWB type holsters. but try to search for a bianchi/ Accu Mold OWB holster to fit your weapon. it has to be ordered w/ the # holster for your weapon. it is a comfortable holster, rention. keeps it shape w/ hard use. i was lucky years ago to get one @ dick's for $5 many years ago. midway sells them around $45. oh yea, it fits close to the body. but iy only takes up to a 1 1/2 belt.

I have a Milt Sparks Summer Special for my 13 , 3". Carries very well and a t shirt and blue jeans won't show it.

I use a DeSantis, in fact I have two of these; but then I have two S&W 65's. This is not a quick draw rig, but it conceals very well.

I carry my Model 65 3" in a Simply Rugged pancake holster. Converts IWB and OWB, so you get the best of both worlds.

Go on eBay and look for a Bianchi Black Widow for a K-frame. It has an open muzzle so it will fit most barrel lengths. Also, the Black Widow holds the revolver fairly high so the larger frame disappears under your arm pits.

Buy eBay and save the dough.

I carry my 2" Model 10 in a Milt Sparks Summer Special 2. It is a very well designed IWB holster. You will need very loose fitting pants, about one size larger than you would usually wear. I bought my first Summer Special about 8 years ago and just ordered two more, one for a Model 640 and one for a 3913.

There are a number of features I like about the Summer Special design. One is that the holster comes up higher on the body side to offer some sweat protection for the gun. Another is that the holster is cut so that a small part of the trigger guard is exposed so that it is easier to get a good grip on the gun. Also the holsters are designed to carry the gun with a lot of forward cant. That makes for better concealment.

All of these holsters work better with the belt cinched up quite tight. I prefer to have the belt at a more comfortable snugness and wear Perry suspenders under my knit golf type shirt to give added support.

I'm not much for IWB holsters...not enough room for me sometimes much less a revolver! I like Lobo Leather custom fit for all my guns. Here's a 2 1/2" and a 3" 66 set for what works for me.:)

It can vary, depending on your body shape, lifestyle and its impact on clothing choices, etc. Day in, day out, the IWB is going to have the most concealment potential. However, that means losing the food blister (note, I rarely wear IWB):p, and buying your clothes a little differently. You also have consider the grips carefully. I prefer good rubber grips for almost all uses, but some can stick to clothes more than wood.
I have a couple of Milt Sparks VMII, and they are great holsters. With any good holster, you also need a first quality belt. It's a system, and going half way on it will not give you the desired outcome.

I have the same Desantis Speed Scabbard in black. It is very comfortable, rides high and close to the hip, and has great retention. Very nice holster. I think I purchased it from LA Police Gear.

Here is my 65-3. Lobo custom holster for the 3 inch. I like wearing the OWB holster. Much more comfortable than the IWB. I just wear log shirts to conceal even though we have open carry.

Lobo Enhanced Pancake. Doesn't get any better. Have several.

Ordered my last couple with the smooth lining and the gun slides in and out like butter.

Wig?

Get a wig like the heavy 19 year old witness in the Zimmerman trial.

And put another on your wife for your back up gun.

I use a Summer Special 2, in cargo shorts and polo in our 95 to 115 degree summer heat, for my 2 1/2" M66 or 4" M19. It works much better than I'd expect for a piece of steel. Seriously, it is easy, unless there are medical issues or some similar problem.
