Default Smith & Wesson Performance Center Gunsmithing Services

Does anybody have any experience with the S&W Performance Center Gunsmithing Services with regard to having a high polish finish applied to stainless steel revolver? Were they able to polish out scratches and marks? Is the polish service worth the $275 charged by S&W?

Default Performance Center Services

Over the last 20 years i have probably had the PC do 3 dozen jobs on various Smith revolvers. Some of the jobs were the high polish treatment. Every single one has been flawless. The polish jobs come back like mirrors. When i sent them in they were in pretty good shape so i can't do a real before after comparison in terms of scratch treatment etc.. but they came back perfect.
If it were me i would try it once and my guess is you won't be disappointed.
Hope this helps.

Keep your factory letter showing it was factory polished, some people will pay more for a factory polish/refinished gun than a non-factory job. Purist's off course, will not buy a refinished gun of any sort.

I have not had this done, nor would I as I find bright polish stainless steel to be just "not right." That said, however, if that is your cup of tea, the couple I have seen that were factory done were very well done indeed.

With a S&W stainless steel revolver, the S&W Performance Center offers three polish options: 1) High Bright Polish, 2) Standard Polish, and 3) Glass Bead Polish. Is the standard polish what comes on most S&W stainless steel revolver?
