Default was this 637-2 Airlight worth 290 bucks?

I never was much of a wheel gun guy, but I picked this up awhile ago just because it was cheap. I figured if ididn't like it I'd sell it for a profit. Like new, I mean it was almost brand new, no ring on the cylinder, brand new galco OWB leather holster and a box of range ammo. I'm guessing the old gent didn't like the recoil.... It does have the stupid internal safety lock on it that I might remove, but so far she's a keeper.

You did really good. I have one and carry it all the time. Down fall with these guns is the finish will start to flake off. I am having a friend refinish mine for me as I type.

With a trigger job and some time behind the trigger you have a great little CCW gun there.

I've had it for a couple months now. I initially thought recoil would be brutal with +P loads, but it really isn't. Its not bad at all with regular 130gr Remington umc or my late uncles 38special 148gr DEWC loads. I've put more rounds and wear on it than it had..

Hey Tony: Odd, isn't it, how not all of the modern Airweight J-frames will suffer finish wear. Only one of mine has, a 642, and the spot is on the sideplate, not where you would think it would occur. Stay safe, partner.

New the gun would be $410-430 and the box of ammo and holster worth about $70. So, you did well and if you like the gun you did great..

I've been carrying it for a couple weeks non stop. I love it.

I was never a revolver fan until I got a 6" blued 357mag GP100 revolver from my uncle when he passed away. I was always a semi auto 9mm and .45acp kind of guy...

Fast forward a couple years up until about two months ago... I picked up this cute little gem for a steal. I mainly bought it to resell it since it was such a good deal....

So I pick this thing up basically brand new for about 1/2 retail... Like I said, I bought it simply because it was cheap and I thought I could make some cash on it.... after shooting it quite a bit... and carrying it almost daily... I fell in love for a smith. I saw a polished 642 the other day and got bored at work.... gotta love govt work... A little love and a little polish brought out his dimples.

I can understand why so many people have carried these little guys for almost a century... they are smooth to shoot, the conceal awesome, almost anywhere... pocket, waist, small of back, appendix.. I can honestly say in the short time I've had it, I have more holsters for this little guy than I do everything I've carried so far. I even picked up a leg holster for SUPER DUPER backup.

Anyways, with a little love and a little polish, I present to you the 'lil freak'.. Brought to you from ohio with loads of Critical Defnse and PDX1. 130gr, 110gr and 158grain. Equal opportunity bad guy destroyer. He doesn't care about color, sex, politics, gays, or even the weather. His one sole mission in life is to protect his owner at all cost....Don't make fun of his little hammer.. He can't help it. He shoots a little low at 25 yards, but still very impressive for a guy with a 2".... cannon.. 1-7/8 to be exact...

He's the little one of the bunch, but that's ok, he gets along well with others...
