I have an opportunity to purchase a unfired model 25-5 in a presentation case. It has Indiana Sheriff's association in gold on the gun and box. I need to figure out the value of it so I can make an offer. Any help would be great. Thank you

Being marked Indiana Sheriff's Association doesn't add value, so checking Gun Broker and similar sites for current prices is probably your best bet. Depending on barrel length I think your looking at a $1000+ gun.

I can't help you with a dollar figure - especially on a commemorative model - but since I have never seen one of these, if you end up buying it, I would be grateful for a picture. Would be interesting.

Unless the Indiana sheriffs markings have some special meaning to you
this gun should be priced at, or even lower than a new in box model 25-5.

4 inch barrel lengths are the hottest sellers right now. Selling at
$1000. and up depending on condition.

6 in. is next in line. with the 8 3/8ths. inch last in desirability.

Get a picture if you can. Let us know the asking price.
And by all means check the chamber throats for close tolerances,
after all, how a gun is mechanically is first and foremost consideration.
