Default great day in the backyard

Spent a few hours shooting with my daughter today. I recently found some bargain rimfires and we went through a full brick. We both had a ball. She really didn't want to pose for a photo, because she knew it would end up here. The 617 is a little heavy, the 317 is a little lite but the single six is just right, according to her.

Good thread , it bring's memories of shooting with my girl's . They have their grown up lives now and don't find much time to shoot with me very often , but once in awhile they still do . Anyhow they preferred my m-41 and m-622 over all my revolvers , but my grandson has an eye for my 317 & 34 with their smaller grips .

I'm jealous. Hope someday to have a backyard where I can do the same thing. Great memories.

Great job dad!

In picture #2, she is not flashing you with either muzzle, and her fingers are off the triggers!

My grown daughter started shooting with me a couple months ago. I am having a tough time feeding her .22lr habit. So far I have managed. She is starting to warm up to my model 10, and I can reload for it.

We've both been having a great time together. Enjoy, It's great to spend time together doing something you both enjoy. Did I mention she's good?

The applause of countless fathers and fellow shooters rise for you and your daughter. I saw the same look of happiness and excitement mirrored in the face of my daughter as we went shooting yesterday afternoon and then again today. May God bless you both!

Default Quality time

Glad you got to spend some quality time together. I'm sure she won't forget it.

Your .22 Ruger SA reminded me of a .22 Colt New Frontier (4-5/8" bbl?) I had that was an awesome shooter. Sold it for a larger frame .22 revolver. Should have kept it.

I don't think there is any greater joy than teaching one's child to shoot and protect themselves when we can't be around!

Those girls look like gunnies. I bet its been years since you had to show them proper trigger finger placement.

This is true, a reminder every once in a while though. They no longer live with me so when they visit they like to turn my $$$ into noise!

Wish I could get a video to post on here, I have both of them shooting a watermelon with one of my 500's

(center one in pic is not mine)

Well recall shooting revolvers with younger daughter. She now has CT permit and is a revolver girl. I suspect you have a very happy student, of whom to be proud!

Well actually it was pointed quite a bit in front of her, and all 3 weapons were unloaded at the time.
