Difference between these 642's?

On a certain website, they list S&W M642 with product code 163810LE. Then they list S&W 642 with product code 103810LE.

What is the difference? Why does one have the M prefix and not the other?

Check out S&W's website.

The 103810 is the "-1" or 'dash one' version which does NOT have the internal lock. The 163810 DOES have the internal lock.

The M is probably just for 'model' or some such thing. It's not shown on the website.

The website lists their, S&W's, model numbers.
