Hi

I have a 432PD that I have only shot .32 H&R out of. I am about to sell my 632 Carry Comp Pro and have a bunch of S&W .32L. Can I use that as practice ammo in my 432?

Thanks!

yes, but be sure to clean the chambers well, so that the .32 Mags slip into them all the way. Point of impact will probably not be the same either.

Thanks. The .32 mags are no problem. It's going the other way I am wondering about.

Yes, the 432 will safely shoot 32 H&R and 32 S&W long's and shorts. I have a 431 (like yours but with exposed hammer) and I shoot 32 Longs for practice. Also the cleaning advice is right.

but can .32 H&R be shot in a .32S/W Long chamber...or any other .32 shot in a .32S/W long chamber?

A gun chambered in 32 s&w long will not be able to fire a 32 H and R round ....... Some guns can be be converted from the 32 s&w long to shoot a 32 h and r ........
A 432
pd will fire
* 32 h and r
* 32 s&w long
* 32 s&w shorts
( some people will even shoot the 32 acp with a 432 but I would not recommend )

The 432 in my opinion is a fantastic carry option and could even be used for home defense...

It will also fire the .32 Colt New Police which is the S&W Long ctge with a meplat on the bullet. IIRC, the ancient .32 Colt and .32 Colt Long (if they are even produced) are not interchangeable with the S&W rounds. I would check, but those books are in a hard-to-access box.

The .32 Colt rounds aside from the "New Police" are indeed smaller in diameter, case body-wise, than the S&W .32s. So low pressured that it probably wouldn't hurt anything, but the cases could split. Probably due to age hardening as much as anything...

Otherwise, no worries.
