So the grips for the 432UC and current J frames are the same?

Yes, the frame is basically the same as any modem J-frame when it comes to grips.

The barrel shroud (same shape as the scandium J-frames) and the rear sight, OTOH, can affect holster compatibility.

But there is some noticeable bulk from the otherwise excellent grips. They are thick. They are beefy. And I am thinking I may swap them out for something slimmer.

I agree about the grips and replaced them with stock magnas and a Tyler-T. Much, much better for pocket carry and it points better for me as well.
