Default 686 Plus, 2.5" Hard To Find

Since I decided to forego the PC version, I have been on a search for a 686 Plus, 2.5", SKU 164192. There are a couple on GunBroker, but I don't want to buy sight unseen, ran into too many problems when I was looking at the PC version.

I have called about every gun shop in the Phoenix metro area, as well as Tucson, and there are none to be had. Plus several of the dealers said they hardly ever see the 2.5" version.

Are these that popular, or does Smith just not make many of them? Are any of you guys seeing these in-stock at your LGS?
