Default Grip problem

Hi again......

I was here yesterday asking about my "new" 586 (no dash), and you guys' response was great. I have a little glitch, tho. The gun has a Hogue rubber grip on it, but the previous owner still has the original wood grips, which I'd like to re-install. Problem is he can't find the grip screw. Any idea where I can get one? Thanks.......

Generally $10 on eBay right now. Check Numrich for your specific model and they may have it, too.

Here's the tricky part -- I believe there are subtle differences in the grip screws based used on correct size for the smaller magnas versus the larger target stocks (which I believe would be correct for your no-dash 586), and in different size frames (N, L, K, J).

Hopefully someone with a little more knowledge on this one'll chime in, or perhaps a search'll answer that question...

Best thread I've found on the subject here; read it all and don't miss the email for the member who (at least at the time) had a good supply at fair prices:

Stock Screws

His card's in this thread: WTB Grip Screw for Magnas

Another member reports luck finding comparable replacements here: McMaster-Carr
