S&W 640 3" rarity and value?

My latest stray I brought home...lol
A S&W model 640 3" .38 SPL with nice smooth magnas still on it. It is missing the yoke screw, but the nice folks at S&W are sending me one free of charge. I researched it a little with not much luck. Haven't seen one like this before and don't see hardly any online. Very cool j frame though. Thoughts on value and rarity are always appreciated. Thanks.:D

I read somewhere these 3-inch no dash guns were made in the 1990 to 1993 time frame. Product code was 103764. More were made in 1994 with product code 103795 and slightly different markings.

What's the s/n of this gun?

I have one I picked up in a local pawn shop, it is all stainless but has an airweight marked barrel, these are in the book as being made up of left over parts. I paid 300 but it is worth a good bit more I just don't know how much.
 
The 3" guns are always in high demand. Yours is a beauty. I have no idea about value or scarcity.
