I came across the above mentioned revolver the other day with no box. It's very clean and looks like it has only seen a cylinder or two of ammo. The owner claims to have bought it new in 1988.

It appears they are going on average for $1100. I don't need it but I would like to add it to my collection.

What would you guys pay for the above example?

I sold one in the spring that was 97-98% for a 1000.00 . Would I pay that much ? Yes if it's that nice and I wanted it .

I would think a $1000.00 max without a box and contents.
But what's 100 bucks.

I have one and it's a lot of fun to shoot.

I paid $915.00 on GB a few months ago for same gun in exc condition but with the box. But you didn't mention barrel length. Mine was the 10+ inch model. They also made them shorter.

So you're the one that beat me out. :D:confused:

I didn’t think there was another 29 Silhouette model than the 10 5/8.
What was it?

The 6 inch .44 Model 29 with the adjustable front sight was called the Classic Hunter. The silhouette gun has the 10-5/8 inch barrel.

This is the Silhouette with the 10 5/8" barrel. Well thanks guys....I'd like to get into this with no more than a thousand. I hate getting into something and find out a few years later that I can't dump it for what I paid. It doesn't happen very often, but I've had it happen on a couple of rifles.
