It would great if someone could tell me what grips came on the S&W Model 10-6 from the factory. I just bought a 10-6 and it has rubber grips now, would like to go back with originals.

Thanks is advance.

I may be wrong but I think the 10-6 HB came with the rounded bottom PC Magnas. The one issued to me in 1979 had those and I seem to remember most everyone else on the PD who had not changed grips had PC Magnas. But, again, my issued gun was not new to me, it was one re-issued from stock. With a Tyler T-grip, that is my favorite configuration on a K frame.

Got my grips in for the 10-6.

Got my grips in for my new "to me" 10-6. I love it!! I posted a pic of my 5 and 6 for a comparison. I really like the Heavy Barrel.

If the grip I bought for the 10-6 I posted is not the 10-6 grip. What model does it go on as the original?

All I want for Christmas is a S&W 10!!

The correct grips are the ones on the bottom revolver. They have the rounded edge at the base of the grip. I believe that the square grip base would be found on the adjustable sight revolvers.

Is these the right grips. Found on EBay. IMG_1413.jpg

eBay grips pictured appear to be for a round butt not square butt

Finally got the right one I hope. The one on top, the 10-6. Of course the 10-5 below it has the same grip.

My early 60s CPD M10-1 wears matching numbered diamonds. The 80s Detroit PD 64 also has the rounded heel but not worn down. Hope this helps.
