Default M657

I have a line on a m657, 41mag. Don't know the dash# yet, but it is pre-lock. I really like N frame, 6" barrel models, but have never shot or even seen one chambered in 41mag. What is it like to shoot? Pros/cons? Thanks

My 657 6inch is the finest shooting SW I own. I like shorter guns so I only have a few 6 inch models but the 657 is a great gun. A little more punch than 357 mag but very manageable. Only drawback is factory ammo is $$$$. If you reload or have a buddy who does it cost a few pennies more a round than 9mm or 38 specials reloads.

I have been a 41 mag fan for years. The major draw back is finding ammo, I reload so it isn't a problem for me. Most want to compare it to the 44 mag. I find that a good load in 41 shoots well in all my guns, a good load in the 44 can be picky towards one gun. I hunt with mine and the deer dont seem to know the difference.
If you reload, you will enjoy it. They do bring a price today. If you dont reload, would save my money and look for a 629. As always, my humble opinion.
