What would a 13 with a 3" barrel be worth this is in Very nice condition, no cosmetic or mechanical issues. No box or paperwork. No original grip.

Is $500 about the limit, or is $800 more like it?

Here are the best pics I can get:

I'm looking at a nickle version of the same gun and have the same question. Interested in the answer. Guy is asking $800+ for it. Seems extreme to me with no box and some wear. Was thinking like you in the $500 range.

IMO $500 is low ....... and $800 is a bit high. Demand for them is high..... supply is low!

Without pictures it hard to judge one man's "very nice" condition...... is that ANIB unfired.... or.... a little muzzle wear and turn line?

Also gun shop pricing or 'friends and family" pricing?

to me "nice" to "very nice"..... $600-750. Course haven't seen one for sale locally in...........forever!!!!!!!!

I'd say $500 to $800 is a good estimate range, contingent on condition. It'd look good with that Lady Smith.:D

I've seen one in average to below average condition that's been there all summer for $750.

My thoughts looking at the pictures, and before reading the other posts was that it was easily a $600 revolver and I consider paying as much as $750 for one in that condition.

After reading the posts, my thoughts have not changed.

- 3" Model 13s are not common.
- You'll go years between sightings in local guns shops.
- They are not all that commonly found on Gun Broker, and when you do see one in that condition it's going to bring $650-$750.
- If it in excellent condition with a box, plan on having at least a grand in hand, and if it's LNIB, it'll sell for somewhere north of $1200.

If you want it and the price is $750 or less, then grab it before someone else does. It might be $50 high at that price, but the odds you won't see another one in that condition for years, and when you do finally come across another one, you'll still pay at least $750 because it will have appreciated by then.

It's one of those guns where you might buy a little too early for the price, but you'll never pay too much in the long run.

If that is the one listed on BP locally here in AZ, I looked at it and passed at the price point its at right now. 600-700 is about my limit on these blued 13s, and I want one with original grips and box. However, one dash 3 three inch NIB went for $1100 the other week on GB so the market seems strong.

Hope this helps

Snapping Twig, Like those service style grips.

I recently paid $875.00 for a nickel plated 3" model 13. It had the box, paper work, etc. I also noticed a blued 3" model 13, revolver only, recently sold for $825.00. Remember they are not making any more of them, so if you really want one now's the time to act.

There's been one locally for sale off and on for 2 years for $900 I think. It has a red insert on the front sight, don't know if it's factory. But no box or papers and some wear. I'll stick with my 3" 65-5 with box that I have.

I saw this post at 1350 or so central time and immediately recognized it as a gun I spied on GB just last night. Refrained from posting, the bid was $500 then. A bidding war ensued and the market brought $765. OP did you win it?.

I probably wouldn't pay more than $700 for a 3" 13-3, but then I already have one. In over 15 years I have only seen one 13-3 3" for sale in my part of SE PA and that was the one I bought. That 13-3 was very clean, no box, and I paid less than $400 back in 2001. I recently saw a very nice 65-3 3" for sale, and the dealer wanted $850. Given how rarely they turn up I probably should've bought it, but I was already over extended on gun purchases at the time. The 65 was gone a short time later.

I paid $450 a few months ago for one in this condition at a LGS with no box or papers, but it did have a nice S&W branded thumb break holster with it. It's definitely worth $500 easy and more to the right buyer. Right now it's a buyers market but like stated above you don't see a lot of these. I think they are scarcer than 3" Model 65s.

The one pictured by the OP has a much nicer finish than my 13-3 and I wouldn't even talk to you at $750.00. Mostly because I don't feel like tracking down another one. LOL hardcase60

Hello, 3" K's are going crazy! I recently saw one on local adds
Florida gun broker or armslist for 550! And there's one for 800.
Good luck
