Already have a pair of 405’s backordered at Brownell’s but afterwards saw the 350, which looks like it would make it more difficult to conceal but would absorb 357 recoil better.

Can anybody provide feedback on the 350?

Mods feel free to move if not in the right forum.

I have the 405's on my 442. Really comfortable to shoot. Conceal well in the front pocket of my loose fitting Levis. Carry my 442 in an Uncle Mikes. I have owned my for many years and no problems.

I use the CT LG-405 grips on all of my Air Weight J-frames. I almost exclusively pocket carry, and the LG-405s work well for this. The 350 is a larger grip, and won't work for pant pocket carry - at least not for me. It appears the 350 has the same air pocket along the backstrap as the LG-405 - if so, this is excellent as that feature really helps absorb the recoil.

Dave

SpartyME,
You never finished filling out your registration information, so we do no know where you are located. If you are in south or central Florida, I would offer you to shoot both grips.

In my training inventory I own all of them even, though the 350 is not in this photograph. I also own most of the other brands as well

While the 350 does have the softer rubber along the backstrap, I do not like the way it is open at the top of the backstrap. It looks like when they make he mold they had the Centennials in mind and forgot the Chief's Special had hammers on them, so rather than have a new mold made, the just opened the top of the backstrap up si the hammers could be cocked all the way back. When you see one in person, you will know what I mean

So in that respect I prefer the 405s.

However, the 350s can be purchased with the green laser. That is a huge advantage for daytime visibility.

Now back to the down side of the 350s. They have finger grooves. Anyone will small to medium hands will be just fine. If you have large hands or big paws like myself, the bumps for the finger grooves fall in mid finger. I find the 350 VERY uncomfortable to shoot.

To sum up, if the 350Gs fit you, the Green Laser is well worth the additional money for daytime carry. Otherwise the 405 is the way to go

For reference, the 105, 205, 305, 405 family of grips will not be offered with green lasers in the foreseeable future. The green laser requires 4 batteries for it additional current drain, so all of those molds would need to be re-made.

Unless for some reason (pocket carry?) you want the short boot style grips, I say get the Model 350. They allow me a much better firing grip even if only firing .38 Special rounds. They are no kind of an issue with belt carry or probably any other way except for pocket carry. The 350 provides the same "cushion" for your hand with the benefit of allowing more finger purchase on the front side of the frame. I have a set of the Model 405 but I almost never use them. I have them mounted on a J Frame that I normally don't carry just in case. But I can't remember the last time I had such a case! My recommendation is for the Model 350 unless you specifically need the shorter frame length grip.

This is my current EDC. This is the Crimson Trace LG-350. To me, this is the finest laser grip to date. I see they're now offering them in the red laser version too.
