Anyone know how big the coke bottle N frame grips are compared to the big target grips on older N frame models ?

My understanding is that if you know exactly what you are looking for you can tell the differance after staring at them for several minutes in just the right sunlight. The experts can give you the real scoop. I'm no expert.

The giveaway in telling the difference between N frame diamond targets and N frame diamond 'cokes' is the larger checkered area of the cokes. The overall size is essentially the same. The amount of extra palm swell varies.

Thanks, that’s what I needed to know .

No, not really. Maybe in a side view but not in cross-section. For comparison, standard S&W target grips are on the left, Sile Model 064 in the middle and S&W "Cokes" on the right. Standard targets feel like a slightly rounded 2x4 compared to Cokes.

Also I just bought and recieved a set of target grips to use while waiting for the grips from eagle I ordered. Just put them on this morning. They’re made in Thailand. At first glance they appeared to be the same size of the factory target grips on my model 29. After putting them on this new 25-15 I’ve noticed they are approximately 3/8s shorter than the factory grips. Just wanted to put this out there for anyone wanting replica target grips for the n frame square butt model .

Altamont "Cokes" on a 29. These are my favorite wood grip..especially at $85/set! Classic oil finish. They make them for K frames too. Fit like a pair of comfy old gloves.
I don't care if they are "original" or not and neither do my hands..:)

My Culina N frame checkered Cokes feel more like about the same size handful as a K frame factory set of 70's or 80's target stocks. The Cokes are obviously more oval and the palm swell makes a big difference in the way they fit into my hand. They are as close to a perfect grip as I imagine I could ever ask for.

Really nice, are those walnut ?

To give you a back side view of the Culina "coke" stocks, I have a picture of the second set of them I bought off the pistol but from the back side where you can see the swell in them. Like GunarSailors, I think the Culina stocks are the most comfortable stocks I've ever had on my model 27's. I have a third set made out of Kingwood I just received and they are just beautiful.

Here is the back side view of my English Walnut Culina stocks:

And these are the Kingwood Culina stocks I just received from John and Jennifer. I haven't yet decided which gun to put them on:

Right, and you can also stare at something long enough until it looks like a magic carpet.

I recieved my cokes from eagle grips yesterday , they really feel great. I’ll try to shoot this wknd and see how it goes. They fit really tight and no fitting was required on my part . I’d post pics but I don’t know how lol
