S&W factory rubber grips (with S&W logo) are very good. The boot grip used on many J frames is probably the equal of the renowned "Uncle Mike's" rubber boot grips that everyone used to try to find (but which have been off the market for a number of years). Photo #1.
The factory rubber grips that appear on some new K/L frames (Mdl 66 and some versions of the Mdl 686) are superb. Photo #2.
The three finger factory rubber grips found on some new .357 Magnum J frames are great, too. They cost $27.75 from the S&W web store. Photo #3.
(These three styles of rubber grips are not to be confused with Hogue rubber grips, which S&W offers on some revolvers from the factory and in their web store, and which are excellent in their own right).
These grips are not expensive but are well-made and are an obvious solution for many people who want a good rubber grip that is not overly large.
The question is: where to get these factory rubber grips? S&W lists the rubber boot grips on their web store, but not the other two models. Any ideas on stock numbers, and where to get them?
Thanks.
