Default I知 the proud father of identical twin J frames.

Back in March at the Big E gun show I had an elderly gentleman sell me some Smith & Wesson items. One was a 30 year employee anniversary watch. Before leaving he gave me a sheet listing some Smith & Wesson handguns he was selling. On the list were two Model 60s, listed as consecutively numbered with adjustable sights LNIB and from Ashland Shooter Supplies, Ashland Ohio. I called him at least once a week ever week trying to get him to come up with a price. He finally called me yesterday. Long story short, I知 now the proud father of Identical Twin Model 60-1 2背ith adjustable sights, Serial number ALU0795 & ALU0796. When he said they were new in the, he wasn稚 kidding. He never took either one out of the box. I did remove ALU0795. It still had the oil and dust from the factory. He also told me he purchased them in August 1985. I think I値l leave the younger of the two asleep in its blanket. Here are a couple of pictures

Very nice. It's great that they were passed along and you are able to keep them together.

As a 'J-hound', I am a pleased owner of many of the newer-era J-frame revolvers. I must say, however, that the older-style, steel J-frames in .38 Spl. have a certain aura to them that cannot be touched or duplicated. IMHO. Great score!
