15-9 Ed McGivern Commemorative

I just came across one of these and did some research on him, he was an amazing shooter.
Can anyone tell me more about this gun like how many were built and if they are a desirable/collectable piece?

I believe they are part of the classic series and came in case-hardened version and a nickel version. There is a dedication on the side plate.

You need to go buy "Fast & Fancy Revolver Shooting" the story of Ed McGivern.

Commemoratives always have a limited appeal. When they were producing these series of guns in various models, in blue and color case hardened finishes, I always preferred the standard non commemorative models.

Custom gun Heritage series

This may be the only way you can get a revolver with these particular modifications, such as round barrel no rib, Bead front sight, may be your cup of tea. Buy it because you like it and at a price your comfortable with, not to make money on. Most investments dont pan out as much as we would like. So happiness is the only goal.
