I've got a couple of 637-2 J-frames converted to 9mm by TKC.
It''s a great conversion, but their moon clips are expensive.
The Ranch 5-round moon clips from Midway (Part # 593950) are much cheaper, only $10 for eight.
Their diameter is a bit large for the TKC conversion, but 5 minutes with a Dremel grinding wheel while watching TV will cut them right down to size.

ranch moom clips

Groo here
Look them up on the web and give them a call.
Often the same clip is used on more than one gun.
They can tell you and sell in bulk.

I use Ranch clips in my revolvers. I have been using them exclusively for decades

However all of my firearms are either factory Moon clip enabled firearms like above or conversions that were done by Pinnacle like below.

I have never used TK to do any work.

Colt_saa, who made the combat grip on the J-frame?

Jim,
Those are ACE grips.

I believe that at one time Smith and Wesson owned ACE.

That particular grip was OEM on several Performance Center J-frame offerings in the early nineties.

They were also available as accessories and offered in different colors without the inlay. I think this was the Factory's first experience with the laminated woods.

Was that Ace grip as comfortable as it looks?
I've been using the Altamont Super Rosewood Combat grips, but that Ace looks really nice.

Normally I am not a fan of finger grips. They are usually too small for large hands like mine.

This a great for me

If they were still available I would have spare ones sitting around waiting for me to go out and buy a gun for them

You never finished filling out your profile information so we do not know where you are. If you are in the Central Florida area, I would be happy to meet you at a range and let you try one of the PC 940 Specials for yourself.
