Are you referring to the super k? Tear drop barrel, white grips?
If yes, last one I saw sell went for north of 4k. It had reproduction grips (looked like originals), and a few scratches, no box.

If it’s just like the K-Comp, it is not the Super K. It’s the Pre-lock F-Comp.

I won one on GB around a year ago in very good condition, for $1,200 no box/paperwork, original grips. Unfortunately the seller (Fugate Firearms) realized it sold for far less then they wanted and refused to ship me the gun or let me pay for it. They used the excuse I was in CA as a reason to not sell me the firearm, even though it’s perfectly legal for me to own the gun, and them to ship it to my FFL. When I tried talking to them over the phone, they resorted to vulgarity and cussed me out. They refused to talk to my FFL, even though I provided his number. They also didn’t have any posting on the listing they wouldn’t ship to CA. Very dishonest, and downright rude people.

Anyways, $1,200-$1,800 would be an acceptable price to pay for a pre-lock F-Comp.

I’m shocked.

I got it, Lew Horton 66-4 F Comp. Uncle Mikgrips, original box no paper work, no wood grips. # LHF00xx. He give me the price 800.00. I think I got lucky.

I think you got a great deal. I paid $750 for a NIB 66-4 F Comp in 2013 and considered myself lucky. Nice score.

I would have contacted GB and get there help to make it right. If I put a NIB registered Magnum on auction for $500.00 Buy it now, and that is what it sells for, thats on me. You have to check you ad, if it is not right, change it, if the bidder complies with GB rules, It is my mistake and my Loss. Be Safe,

Explanation from me John Fugate the seller. The buyer was from California the particular gun is and was not on the California DOJ ship list. The gun was not C&R eligible and the buyer was not LEO. That being said there was no way legally for me the seller to ship the gun to California for this particular California buyer. I was repeatedly ask to circumvent the DOJ rules by the buyer after the auction. I did indeed refuse to sell/ship this gun to the buyer, I'm not going to break the law for anyone for any amount of money. I am not on here to have an argument , I'm just here to clear up this gentlemans mistake of buying a gun before he done his homework on the eligibility to have this particular gun shipped to California. His California dealer may have very well accepted a non eligible California DOJ firearm breaking the law to collect his transfer fee, this I do not know or care. I on the other hand was not willing to break the law. I was returned my auction fees based on the fact the gun was illegal to ship and the deal was cancelled. The case was then closed. Know the law before you bid and obide by it is all we can ask. There are no work arounds , no bending or circumventing on this end. No Exceptions. We are a California friendly business, we ship to California and always have but the item and or the buyer must first foremost meet legal criteria. Thank You. John Fugate

Its disappointing you had a problem with the Fugates. I have dealt with both Matt and John many times and have always been treated professionally and fairly. I do know that i could only find one ffl somewhat local to me in ohio to ship a shotgun to Cali even though it was legal many dealers said it was too confusing.

Yeah I would have paid $1,000 for it without the OEM grips, docs, lock, or box... You did well.

Let me know if you are ever interested in a pair of OEM wood grips as I have a spare set in mint condition sitting in the safe. If not, no worries...

Nice Revo but where are the Pics bro?

I deleted several replies to this thread. The forum isn’t the place to rehash transaction disputes that occurred elsewhere. I left the original complaint and the rebuttal up for the record.

I‘ll also add that we don’t condone or allow discussion on methods to circumvent State law.
