That is from a run of 1000 pieces back in the 1989/1990 era. If you have the box, we can probably get the exact date for your revolver
It was product code 103593
I do not recall it being a Distributor Exclusive

Thought they were Lew Horton’s. There were a run of 586-3s and 29-4s. The rings are from Millet and are currently unobtainium. If you find one without rings, good luck finding a set. If I crossed paths with one with rings for < $1500 I’d likely go home with it.

The correct Millet rings (3/8") are unobtainium, but standard 1/2" rings can be reworked with a flat mill file to fit. Mine is exactly like the one in Post #4 with a dot sight on it. It is 9 shades of muzzle heavy, but even with brisk 357 mag loads recoil or muzzle flip is minimal. I have found a dot sight easier to shoot than a 2X or 4X pistol scope.
Send me a PM or email with your email address, and I will send closeup pictures of the ring fitment to the barrel. The standard Millett rings can be reworked. Check the threads listed on the bottom of this thread for additional information. I posted more detailed information or I sent the info to another member.
