X frame grip on my N frame gun
the X frame last I looked, was only made to fit with the N frame round butt design. has S&W made them for the N frame square butt yet?

I'm pretty sure X frame grips fit a RB K frame, not an N frame.

I've put X frame grips on my RB L and N frames.
To my knowledge, they havent made them in SB.
I've seen some pachs cover the backstrap, but I'm not well versed in Pachs.

I have the 500 Magnum grips on my 610 and 625, both N frames and they fit just fine. BTW what will NOT work is taking grips that have been on an N frame for a year or more and putting them on an L frame, you get a big gap at the top of the backstrap.

The X frame grip will fit K, L, and N frames, just remove the extra padding at the top of the grip back strap area for use on the N frame.

No, the Tamers won't fit on a SB N frame. The RB K, L, N, and X frames are all the same grip.
I have X frame Hogues on a 629 and they do flare at the top. I might have to try that "remove some padding" trick.

I wonder why? My X-frame Hogues fit on my RB 629 perfectly OTB.
