Hello to all, ;)

My first S&W and first revolver.

Model passed at the Belgian test bench in 2016, sold on the French market for the ONF Office national des forêts. Forest protection for national french Forrest.

Served around two years in walk and a few shots but very good condition.

Model 64-8. Very common in France in municipal police forces. Today replaced by semi-automatic pistols.

Market price fr in 2020 1000€ / 1200 USD.
Bought less than 360 USD in second hand.

Thanks government subsidy :D

Welcome to the forum. You have a very sharp start towards your S&W collection. We are very happy that you decided to join us. Welcome!

I have two LNIB 64-8 revolvers, a 4" and a 3". I am almost certain that my 3" was reimported to the states from France.

Both are excellent revolvers, with great triggers. I paid US ~ $300 for the 4" and ~ $400 for the 3".

NOt so sure that mine did come back from France. These are the only foreign markings that I find on it, and they don't seem to resemble anything in the chart you provided.

Strange mark ! its a star and letter D and E ?

Quelle année votre Sw ?

Nothing on the barrel ? https://i.imgur.com/ySokX21.png

No, no other markings other than those originally engraved by S&W and an importer's mark on the right hand of the top strap.

As to year, I am not exactly sure. SN begins with CJU. Being a 64-8, it must be post-2004,

I have a 3" 64-8 with the same stamp on the cylinder and frame in front of the trigger guard. Importer's mark is IMG Frankfort, KY. Got it from Centerfire.

IIRC, the mystery markings were done by S&W before export. In compliance with Belgian requirements. I have a 29-5 with the same markings. Covered in an older thread from several years back. If I could remember the title, it would be easier to find....
