Found a beaut to add to my collection. Just so happens that it is unfired, with all of the original goodies! Original shipping box including: presentation case, gun with box, paperwork, FBI letter and envelope, medal FBI plate. Faint turn line on the cylinder, but no other marks on the gun. I’ll add some better pictures soon. ENJOY

Thats a real nice package. Those are nice guns. I wanted one when they first were announced, but every time I saw one, I could not spare the expense, and they just continued to increase in price. Finally found one a few years back. Congratulations!

Looking forward to seeing your pictures!
Larry

Here’s a few of just the gun. I don’t think the wood presentation case has even been out of the plastic. Such a beautiful package. #1399. Bought from a gentlemen on consignment in AZ who used to be in the FBI.. no other info on it.

Glad you found one as well! I wasn't necessarily on the search for one, just happened to come across it! After a little digging, I couldn't resist!

Lucky you! I am retired FBI and have been looking for one of these for years. I have the 100th Anniversary Glock 22 and the Remington 870 shotgun, but have not found the 27-3. A poster here had one for sale last year but it was pretty beat up and the plate was missing from the presentation case.

Congratulations on a Fine addition to the Family

My work with the Bureau brought me in way too late to get one of my own.

A few years back my Mentor at the Bureau turned 70 and was moving to a smaller house. He gave his Model 27

This is one firearm that will not be sold during my lifetime

DR505, keep looking, they are out there

On an unrelated side note, I believe these are on the C&R list.

Weren’t those introduced in the 80s?

I remember a special edition 5” M-27.

I was young & poor, but thought seriously about selling off most of my handguns to buy one.

Anyway, great find!

These celebrated the Bureau's 50th Birthday in 1984

These were not for sale to the general public.

The FBIAA is who commissioned the commemorative and only Agents or Ex-Agents could order one of the firearms. Like all rules, this one got broken for various contractors and consultants who were actively working with the Bureau at the time and wanted one

Obviously they eventually made it to the secondary market
