**? Answered**Significance of sticker on S&W K Frame Target Grips?
I just picked up a mint condition set of K/L frame targets with a round numbered sticker on the bottom. Hoiser45's thread "Smith & Wesson N Frame Stocks / Grips - A Reference Guide" mentions these stickers but the reason for them was unknown. Would these be of interest to a collector or just another set of nice target grips?

I've have/had those inspection sticker on the bottom of the frame under the grips but never on the exterior of stocks/grips

Every new revolver I bought since 1983 had those round stickers on the bottom of the stocks.I believe it is an inspector number
